Strong Engagement at Ph.D. and Vet Student Career Fair During the 2026 IPPE
Ph.D. and vet school students recently participated in the Ph.D. and Vet Student Career Fair, held during the 2026 International Production & Processing Expo in Atlanta. Sponsored by the USPOULTRY Foundation and the Poultry Science Association (PSA), the event was held in conjunction with the International Poultry Scientific Forum.
This specialized program, a joint effort between the USPOULTRY Foundation and PSA, supports USPOULTRY member companies and allied suppliers, particularly in high-demand fields such as genetics, animal health, pharmaceuticals and nutrition, by providing Ph.D. and veterinary students with valuable insight into career opportunities within the poultry industry.
By strengthening both industry and academic career pathways, the initiative benefits students seeking employment while helping companies address talent shortages and secure the next generation of scientific and technical leaders essential to the industry’s continued advancement.
“This year marked the eighth year for the Ph.D. and Vet Student Career Fair – an initiative that represents a long-term workforce sustainability strategy,” said Jonathan Cade, Hy-Line International Inc. and USPOULTRY Foundation Chair. “By supporting internships, scholarships, fellowships and direct hiring opportunities, the career fair helps build a continuous pipeline of skilled professionals prepared to serve as the next generation of scientific and industry leaders.”
