2025 National Safety Conference for the Poultry Industry to Unite Industry Leaders for Critical Safety Training and Policy Updates

Safety professionals from across the poultry industry will soon gather for the 2025 National Safety Conference for the Poultry Industry that is scheduled for Aug. 18-20 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, Fla. Sponsored by the Georgia Tech Research Institute/ATRP and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY), the three-day event is tailored to facility and corporate safety personnel and will feature key presentations on critical industry topics and the latest updates on government policy.

“As health and safety professionals, our top priority is ensuring a safe working environment for our employees. The topics chosen for this year’s conference demonstrate our ongoing commitment to that responsibility. Attendees will gain valuable insights and practical tools to strengthen their safety culture and drive immediate improvements within their organizations,” said Scott Rushing, Wayne-Sanderson Farms, and program committee chair.

Highlights of the agenda include a Washington Update; Occupational Safety and Health Administration Update; Employee Misconduct Defense; Serious Injury Fatality Prevention; Guiding Lights for Safety Professionals; Forever Chemicals: Detection and Mitigation Best Practices; Management of Change Process; Occupational Health: Leadership Collaboration with Safety and Operations / Medical Management / Crisis Intervention; and a Safety Regulatory Review. In addition, there will be multiple roundtable discussions on topics such as effective investigations, artificial intelligence in safety, feed mill safety, ergonomics and more. The conference will also recognize outstanding achievements with the announcement of the 2025 Safety Award winners.

The 2025 National Safety Conference for the Poultry Industry planning committee is comprised of experienced poultry facility and corporate safety personnel.
