Human resources and people programs is one of the most important, yet complex, functions in today's poultry and egg industry. Regardless of how sophisticated equipment and machines may be, the success of a company ultimately depends upon its people. People are essential to manage and maintain the complex systems of today, and people must make vital day-to-day decisions.
When it comes to government regulations, unions, changing trends in society and the workforce, recruiting, retention, and training, there is no simple answer. However, you can stay informed by attending U.S. Poultry & Egg Association's 2012 Human Resources Seminar. This year's seminar, developed by a committee of knowledgeable HR managers, will include Dealing With OSHA Inspections, ICE/I-9/State Immigration Laws, Dealing With Stress, and EEOC/ADA/Aging Workforce Issues.
